Welcome

Just a few rambling thoughts and crafts from a mind that is full of both. I am talented in my mind but regularly run full throttle into the wall of procrastination. I have raised procrastination to an art form. A friend once told me I have a BS in BS and a minor in excuse making. If there is anyway to get out of doing my best, I will do my best to get out of it. Welcome to my saburban life. : ).. Lol.

Where did yesterday go? Lol.

Whew.  Had a gorgeous day off, temps in the high 70's with a beautiful breeze out there.  Spent most of my time running in and outside with the puppies, so I got to enjoy a lot of that.  Got the main floor of the house ready for our cookout, minus the floor because, quite frankly, I didn't feel like doing it twice, so I'll wait and finish that today.  Working on the lawn and the downstairs today.  Not that there is a lot to do, but, by gosh, some of it just takes a while.  It's nice out there today, with a sunny, warm forecast for this afternoon.  Perfect for a BBQ.  : )..

Alrighty, back to work.  Lol.  Pictures to follow.
Including my clear cups with colored napkins.
Ha!  Men.

Upcoming Cookout.. : )..

We are having a cookout Saturday afternoon and have invited some of our friends and some of my co-workers. It's nothing big, just hot dogs, hamburgers, fixins and a whole lotta puppies.  This should be fun though.  I am going to make some of Ladoga Ridge Wineries' Holiday Punch with the bottle of Strawberry Rhubarb that has been chilling in our fridge.  I cannot wait.  : )..  One bottle of Strawberry Rhubarb wine, two bottles of club soda and one can of clear soda.  Yummy!  Delicious!

Think I am also going to try a couple of these neat ideas for organization.

I miss having parties.  Lol.
Seems like they are harder to organize
lately, I kept trying to get myself in gear and
have one since last summer, but it kept
getting pushed back.  : )..  I am biting
the bullet this time and pushing through the
procrastination that has plagued the last few attempts.
Should be fun!  I can't wait!

Sunny Side Up..

I've always been drawn to the celestial sun/moon/stars combo.  I even have a tattoo on my ankle to prove it (ouch!).  : )..  I love some of the celestial items I have found online, but, eh, I always see the same old things.  Soo, I started to doodle and sketch some instead.  I love to free hand draw my suns and moons and stars, and got pretty quick and efficient at it.  Even did a few doodles at work, while waiting for alarms to call on.  Anyway, I wanted to sit down and make a little set.  This is what I came up with this morning.

I'm not quite sure why I went with a silver star, but,
eh, again, something a little different.

Here's a shot of a star I drew on my chalkboard picture frame at work..
It was a little fuzzy on the side though.  I was
teasing one of my former co-workers.
He and another Training Assistant used
to "tap out" and leave the one who was caught unaware
to listen whenever our supervisor started
long lectures.  He quit abruptly, sooo, I crowned
him the Tap Out Champ..  Lol.
I miss those days, as well as Brandon and Kita..   : )..
Still, it's a pretty neat little frame.  I found it on
the clearance aisle at Target once.  Think I didn't
grab it quick?  Pshh.  In a heartbeat!

Here's a picture of my tattoo as well.
Lol, sorry, if I was more of a contortionist,
I would have been able to get a better shot of it.
That will have to do for now.  : )..

I'm joining up with Debbie Doo's Newbie Party again..
She's got some great things on her website and
she's got some talented Newbies that join in!

Puppy Pictures.. : )..

Since my last post wouldn't let me add my pictures, I will make a new one.  : )..  Here are the kids playin in their splish splash pool.  I'm jealous.  I wanted a pool too.  Lol.  My puppies got one.  I can join them in theirs, or just plain do without.  Hmm.  Don't be surprised if I take them up on it this summer.  Ha!
Milo, minus the mud puddle mess.  Lol.
The Ferginator in his first splish splashy pool party.
He jumped out twice before realizing how much fun it was.

What fun!  Lol.
Sigh.  I really might have to join them.
: )..

Semi productive Sunday..

Went grocery shopping, yay, got the stuff to make some more white chicken chili though. Yummy! Played with the pups. Brought Milo's splish, splash pool back out and all three pups were in it at one time. Poor little Fergus jumped out twice before he realized just how much fun could be had in it. The third time was the charm and he hadd a blast. He dropped a sliver of paper in it and was barking at it when he was the only one in there. Lol. Bark! Bark! Then he kicked with his back leg and splashed me. I couldn't stop laughing. Wished I had gotten all that on video. Lol. Watched part of the NASCAR race through the back of my eyelids, Fergus did too. Went to dinner and spent the rest of the night running up and down our basement stairs because Fergus only rents the water he drinks and every time he went outside, he had to reload on the way back in. Whew! Enough Fergus! We are calling it a night!

Stuffed Peppers.. It's what might be for dinner.. : )..

I've never been a green pepper fan.  Not sure why because I do like red peppers, and don't mind the yellow ones either.  I'm guessing green peppers must just have a stronger taste to them or something.  I leave them off pizza and salads, but as long as I don't taste them in other recipes, I'm fine.  Ran across this yummy looking recipe on Pinterest and I think I might just have to make me some of these..  : )..

I was making a salad a couple nights ago
and got another little bit of love
from up above..

I've run across a few hearts in the past
few days...  : )..
I had hit a dry spell for a bit..
Glad it's over..

Men with waaay too much time or testosterone.. Lol.

How awesome is this?  A new sport for macho, macho guys.  Trying to score
goals with an over sized soccer ball...  While being tazered by their opponents.
Lol.  Anyone with the ball is fair play.  Bzzzzt!  Wow.  : )..  What'll they think
of next?

Directv is driving me insane

Once again, there is another payment off my card and they keep playing its not my job to stop the payment, you need to call your bank who tells me I need to call DTV to stop the payment. Ugh. I'm tellin you, it's enough to drive me insane. Short trip these days. Lol. But seriously? Grr. Argh! Really? > (.. Bad DTV. : p. Cease and desist. Any help * ahem * would be greatly appreciated. Also, while I'm on that subject, Anonymous, if you sign in using your blog name (Dian) and blog address (Bentleysbaskets.blogspot.com) you won't be Anonymous anymore and might get your blog seen by a few ppl. : )..

What I want for lunch.. : )..

Been craving some Gyros lately.  Gyros and Sweet Potato fries.
Might have to get me some of this, pronto!
Or this yummy creation that I would love to try..  : )..
Along with my super, duper easy sweet potato fries..
Slice sweet potatoes into steak fry strips.
Put them into a quart or gallon baggie, depending
on how many fries you are making.
Drizzle some Extra Virgin Olive Oil over them.
Sprinkle in some garlic salt.
Rub the fries to coat evenly.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Spread the fries out in a single layer
on a cookie sheet. Cook for 25 minutes, turning once.
Serve with ranch dressing. They are sooo good. : )..

A little twist on some Monday fun..

Took the puppies out for a while this morning and was really enjoying our
lovely 70ish degree weather.  There were clouds covering the sun, and that
is just fine with me!  It's supposed to rain for the next four days, and I have
always loved the breeze right before it rains.  It was soo nice out there that
I don't even care if it's a Monday morning.  : )..  Lol.  Thought about adding
a song by the Bangles, but I'm not a big fan of "Manic Monday".  I love
"Walk Like An Egyptian", so I found this instead.  It's a pretty neat creation
that someone made with that song and Michael Jackson's, "Remember the
Time" video.  Pretty neat idea.  Goes very well with the song.  Definitely
a great way to get my Monday morning started!  I miss the Breeze....

Chococherry Kiss.. Ohhh yeah..

Swung by Ladoga Ridge on my way home from work Friday and picked up the door prize basket that I won from the Teacher's Appreciation Night last week.  I've got the Chococherry Kiss wine chillin in the fridge.  It's calling my name every time that I get close to the kitchen.  I can hear it.  Jan!  Jaaaan!  Oh, Jan!  I'm sitting right here!  Luckily, I've been able to resist it.  Truth be told, lol, I'm afraid that once I open one and drink it, that I'll get attached and want more.  Ladoga Ridge may only make it available around Valentine's Day, and they may come up with something different next year.  One bottle of that deeelishus Chococherry Kiss just won't be enough!  It's.  Just.  That.  Good.  : )..

Anyway, here's the basket that I got..  Chococherry Kiss..  In the fridge..  Calling my name..

Jaaaaaaaaaaan!

Best day of the year! : )..

Soo, after growing up and spending almost thirty years as a Murphy, I get to revert back to my Irish heritage on March 17th each year.  I love St. Patrick's Day.  I married into a Scottish name, but still consider myself Irish through and through.  : )..  I am an Irish Hooligan.  I love creating and engaging in Irish Shenanigans. Some of my best times were as a Murphy.  I will always be Irish at heart.  Here are some of my favorite Irish pictures to celebrate..

: )..  I'm tellin ya.
I am an Irish Hooligan!

Million Dollar Idea Day.. : )..

Soo, after talking to one of my co-workers yesterday, I had another "million dollar idea" moment.  Lol.  Thanks, Kim!  This one might be a billion dollar plan!  Now I just have to figure out how to make this project and get it going.  I know that it would catch on like wildfire.  It happens to involve one of my absolute end all to be all foods and could also include some of my favorite end all to be all seafood items as well.  Yummy.  Lemme just say, lol, I will be motivated to make this work and asap!  : )..  I could use a few million bucks, or a few billion bucks as well.  Ahh, the life!

I already have a couple other "million dollar ideas" that would end up joining some of those crazy, wacky infomercials and the "As Seen on TV" sales areas like I see in Target, CVS and Walgreens, just to name a few spots.  The other two are a little harder to figure out how to produce, I just know what the ideas will solve.  Hehehe.  I will figure it out one day, by gosh!  Ha!  I can make a commercial like the Schticky!  Btw, I stillll NEED a Schticky!!!  One of these days, I will have one, I will, I will, I will!  Until then, I'll just have to schtick with my vacuum cleaner to battle the cat hair accumulation. I'm tellin ya!  I can sweep and vacuum one day and ten minutes later!  Pooof!  More cat hair.  Think I might cut out the middleman and just vacuum the cats instead! Ha!  (no cats were harmed in the making of this post)

Alrighty, one more workday until the weekend!  Guess I'm ready to get it started.  Yay!  I need a Schticky!

Yummy.. : ).. I soo have to try this..

I love sweet potatoes.  I love them baked with a little bit of butter and light ranch dressing.  I love them as thin potato chips.  I love them as sweet potato fries, which I make by cutting the potatoes into strips and drizzling some olive oil in a quart baggie with a little bit of garlic salt, tossing the fries in to coat them evenly and baking them in a 450 degree oven for 25 minutes, turning once.  I just looove sweet potatoes in general.  It's probably my favorite part of the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.  Yummy!  Sweet taters are awesome in my book.  Alright, enough Bubba Gumpin about sweet potatoes.  Lol.  I ran across this tastee looking dish on Pinterest and cannot wait to give it a try!  Oooh.  I can hardly wait.  : )..

They are Twice Baked Lime Sweet Potatoes and are found here.
I love sweet potatoes.  I love limes.
Ergo, I'm betting that I will love these yummy looking
taters as well!  Nom, nom, nom!

Fun with Dr. Swoope..

Fergus had his first visit with our vet, Dr. Swoope today.  Lol.  Got called, "Fat and Happy".  He's 5.1 pounds already.  Growing like a little weed.  He can run up and down our basement and deck stairs without problems, although he did roll down the basement ones a couple days ago.  I think Emmy and Milo did that too, back when they were pups.  The stairs are carpeted, and we tried to keep them from doing that, but he was no worse for wear, got up, shook himself off and raced back up the stairs again.  He and Milo love to chase each other around.  They get along very well, rolling and running, as long as they aren't around food or water, everything is peachy.  : )..

Here's the latest Fergie Ferg picture, taken during his first vet visit.
 Fat and happy puppy.
Quite the eyebrows goin.
Ernest Borgnine, Jr.  : )..
Milo gets them too.
Not quite so bad in this pic.
Whatta cutie.  : )..
And a little sweetie to boot.

Another great Pandora Music find..

I love my Pandora Music application.  It introduced me to The Be Good
Tanyas and then to Po'Girl.  Now?  This group.  I love this song.  : )..
Great version with this video as well.

ChocoCherry Kiss.. Oooh yeah..

Topped off our weekend with a Teacher's Appreciation night at Ladoga Ridge Winery in Smithville, MO, where my friend, who is a teacher, was appreciated.  : )..  Half price drinks, snacks, desserts and chances at door prizes.  I actually changed my favorite wine from Toad-A-Lope to their Blackberry wine for now.  They have sooo many great wines that it's really hard to choose one favorite.  However, the blackberry wine and some eclairs?  Oooh, yeah, delicious!

And the best yet?  I won the ChocoCherry Kiss door prize basket.  Awesome!  I will save my ChocoCherry Kiss basket for when my friend returns so that we can appreciate the Teacher's Appreciation prize together.  Over some chocolate ice cream like they had at the Wine Tasting and Pairing party we attended at Ladoga Ridge recently.  Yay!  Now that's a great way to start my Monday!  Woo hoo.  Bring the day on!

Yesterdays Post..

Soo, apparently, I never finished my post from yesterday.  I started last night after we returned from our dinner, but was soo tired that it never got done.  Lol.  We had a great dinner at Fence Stile Winery in Excelsior Springs, MO yesterday evening.  It was one of the top rewards from the Missouri Wine Organization's Wine Tour that promotes over 100 wineries in our state.  It took visits to over 60 wineries to make it to that level, and although that sounds like a lot of driving, most of the wineries are all clumped together.  It took a little doing, but it was done.  : )..

We had some great food, great wine and had a great time at the winery.  Here are some pics of the food and dinner.

A little Sweet Enchanment, a fruity red wine and some water to begin..
Some delicious appetizers.  Pimento spread and artichoke spread.
Buffalo Chicken Soup.  Yummy!
Chicken Alfredo with broccoli and then some Shrimp Scampi too.
You cannot go wrong by feeding me shrimp!
Yummy!
One eclair, one coffee flavored dessert and then one chocolate puff pastry,
there was one other one that didn't make the picture.  Lol.
These desserts paired with a glass of Fence Stile's Enticement
Sparkling White Wine?  Ooooh, soooo good!
(William, one of the owners, also said Enticement makes a great Mimosa!
Can you guess what I'm having for breakfast?
I knew that I was saving that bottle of Enticement at home for something!)
 Two bottles of delicious wine!
Love the lights as we left.
Especially the sunburst pattern.

All in all, it was such a great night!
Buon cibo!  Buon Vino!  Buoni Amici!
Good food!  Good wine!  Good friends!
For sure!

I would like to give a huge Thank you to Fence Stile Winery,
Missouri Wine Organization and also
to Ventana's Cafe and Coffeehouse
for a great dinner!

TGIF.. : ).. For sure..

Milo loves playing with Fergus.  Fergus hates being put in the kennel at night so that I can sleep without having to worry what he's up to.  And now?  Milo "bumped" his nose at me when I put Fergus in the kennel last night, letting me know that he wasn't finished playing with the little guy yet.  Lol.  He kept poor little Fergie Ferg company since it didn't sway me and make me open the door to let him out, so Milo laid down on the floor next to the kennel and watched him for a while.  Eventually, they both crashed out.

This weekend is going to be crazy.  One of my friends, and her Shiba Inu, will be here because we are having our winner, winner another non-chicken dinner winery winner dinner at Fence Stiles Winery in Excelsior Springs.  It's the one that has the Tuscany Pasta, the New Orleans pasta, the Buffalo Chicken Soup (ok, so I guess it's not totally a non-chicken dinner, lol.) and some other assorted items.  I am soooo looking forward to that.  It was rescheduled from February, and was almost rescheduled again.  One of the owners is from India and needed to return to her family after her father had a massive heart attack.  He stabilized however, so she flew back and still wanted to do our dinner this weekend.  : )..  I love their winery, their wines and their hospitality.  They have always been warm and welcoming and I am glad that her father is doing better!  Here was a link to the menu we were able to choose from.

At least we will be home most of this weekend so poor little Fergus won't have to spend much time in his kennel.  : )..  He and Milo can play and play and play to their hearts content.  Or until one of them falls asleep.  Fergus has unearthed the mother lode of squeaky toys.  Milo loves the squeaky parts out of stuffed animals and will tear them apart to get to it.  We have decided it is easier to just buy him the replacement squeaky parts to save him the extra trouble.  After having bought probably, oh, say, five or six packs that hold four in each, I never actually wondered what Milo did with them.  Until last night when Fergus was clawing under the love seat.  I got my handy dandy back scratcher, aka the toy hunting stick, and found 13 squeaky toys under the love seat alone.  Ahh.  It was a squeaky toy graveyard.  Milo was going nuts.  Ahh.  The joys of puppies.  I'm ready to get this weekend started!  One 8 hour shift to go!

What's for dinner tonight? I am thinking this is! : )..

It is a Giada de Laurentiis recipe that looks great and sounds delicious.  I made a crockpot recipe of her's a few months ago that was pretty darn good, so since I have all of the ingredients on hand, I'm thinking this one is a winner, winner, no chicken dinner, winner for tonight.  : )..  Speaking of dinners, our free winery dinner for four at Fence Stiles Winery in Excelsior Springs, MO is on for this Saturday evening. Yummy!  Can't wait for that.

Anyway, here are the details on Giada's Pasta with Carrots and Peas.
Ingredients
  • 1 pound of linguine or spaghetti pasta
  • 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 of a large onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1 (6 ounce) can of tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Palmful of dried parsley
  • 1 cup of frozen peas, thawed
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the pasta and cook to al dente. Reserve at least 3 cups of the pasta water when you drain it.

Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large nonstick frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrots, salt, and pepper. Cook until tender, about 8 minutes. Add the tomato paste and 1/2 cup of the hot pasta water. Stir to blend in the tomato paste and create a sauce, adding more pasta water if necessary. Stir in the Italian seasoning, basil and parsley.

Gently fold in the cooked and drained pasta and the peas; add the Parmesan, and any of the additional pasta water as needed. Transfer to a platter and serve immediately.

Sounds great!  : )..

Manners of a goat..

Once again, I re-iterate. I would say some people have the manners of a goat. However, I'm not entirely convinced that goats aren't actually saying, "May I, please, thank you, would you", etc. some people's mothers raised them with some mighty fine manners.

The latest craze that is sweeping the nation.. Lol..

It's called, "Brooming".  It's a freak of nature, caused by the earth's gravitational pull and will only work through today, Tuesday, March 6th.  I've saw several friends posting it on their facebook pages but I was skeptical.  Until I actually tried it.  Pretty cool.  I had to work with the bristles on our broom, but by gosh, it worked!  Until the puppy sniffed it and knocked it over, and by puppy, I mean this one, Fergus Ozborn Macdougall, the newest addition to our family.  And took off like a bolt of lightning!  Whoosh!  It's pretty crazy if you ask me.  You've got to try it before the phenomenon ends.  : )..  Good luck and have fun.  Here it is.  "Brooming".

I am linking up with DebbieDoo's Newbie Party to spread the fun!
It's awesome.  You have to try it while it lasts!
: )..
I also had to cheat and post a friend's picture because mine was too big to upload.
Here my friend's picture again.

Look who is playing with the puppy. : )..

Milo and Fergus were able to play yesterday.  : )..  Milo herds him around the house just like Emmy did with him back in the day.  He kind of pushes him around with his nose, but he's being pretty gentle with Fergus, and he's able to actually refrain from eating him.  Yay Milo!  Good boy!  He had a major breakthrough yesterday.  Just when I was starting to have my doubts.  He's doing such a great job with the puppy now.  He is still territorial over the food and water, but as long as Fergus has his own, we are good to go.  Awesome Milo!

Monday, March 5, 2012

Fun with Puppies.. : )..

Milo is slowly starting to adjust to Fergus.  He's barking, but not like he wants to tear the puppy apart.  We've made sure that Milo knows the puppy isn't here to take his place, eat his treats or steal his people.  He is able to sit calmly by the kennel while Fergus moves around inside for a few minutes without starting to get too excited.  There may be hope after all.  Anyway, here is some fun with our pups for now.  : )..
 Milo being cute..  : )..
Finally got Fergus to sit still for a minute.
: )..

Alrighty, I'm ready to get this day started!

Crazy day.. Whew..

It's been a crazy day and one that kept me moving.  I'm almost glad that tomorrow is Monday.  It was a long, long, long night last night and I'm betting that it will be the same tonight.  I'm hoping that it's better than last night, but I'm not delusional either.  Anyway, here's a little brain break for tonight.

Saturday, March 3, 2012

Chaos.. Lol..

Soo.  Here we are..  : )..  Fergus Ozborn Macdougall.

Haven't really been able to get any other good pictures yet.  He moves lightning fast!
He's a cutie pie and pretty little.  : )..
Emmy loves him and has been like a little Momma to him.
Milo?  Oooh.  Milo is a totally different story.
That's what took so long to get to my post for the day!
Wish us luck!  Lol.

Whut?!

Going in late to work today so that I can help run the Wheel of Jeopardy (that is going over very well), and I was getting ready to let the puppies outside.  Imagine our surprise when I opened the back door to see snow.  Huge, ginormous flakes of snow!  Ack!  It must have just started a little while ago, it's not sticking to anything because it's still got enough rain mixed in to make it slushy, but it's snowing (!) outside!  Emmy and Milo raced outside to play in it and chased each other around the shed in the back yard.  That's one of their favorite games.  Lol.  Add snow?  Ohhh.  It's puppy heaven!

Speaking of puppy heaven.  Milo's still in it.  Blissfully oblivious to the fact that his poor little apple cart is about to take a serious tumble tomorrow.  He's been our little baby for over a year now.  For some reason, I thought yesterday was Wednesday.  It's always good when you are one day closer to the weekend, or in this case, one day closer to getting Fergus.  Even though I still can't tell if "Fergus" is winning the battle, I haven't heard anything else be mentioned with the exception of McDougal.  Lol.  Poor little Milo.  He has nooo idea what is in store for him.  I'm sure he is going to be jealous for a few days, but I'm going to try my best and curtail that.  Here's his take on the whole matter.

We are definitely taking Emmy with us to pick up our new addition.  We are also taking a small present for her "Momma Judy".  It's a triple picture frame that will have this picture taken at Emmy's first PetSmart graduation..
Giving her Momma a little Emmy lovin..  : ).
And greeting her actual Momma Chrissy for the first time since we got her.
Chrissy is pure black, which is an interesting Cairn color, I've seen dark gray, but she's the only pure black one I've seen, and Emmy's Poppa is a Wheaten Cairn Terrier.  She ended up with a little bit of both, which has made several ladies ask, "Where did Emmy get her highlights from?"  Lol.

I'm not so sure about taking Milo aka the Scottish Hooligan.  The aggressive Scottish Hooligan.
I'm not sure we really want to make Judy worry that Fergus will be eaten by the aforementioned aggressive Scottish Hooligan or not.  Dutch says Milo will be "fine" with our new puppy.  I'm not so sure.  He says that about Milo all the time, even after an aggressive move.  Apparently, as they say, "Denial ain't just a river in Egypt".  Lol.  I know that Judy would love to see both our dogs, especially since she's never gotten to meet Milo.  I'm just not sure it's a good idea.  Although, I could put Milo in the small kennel and let him get used to the puppy before I put Fergus in there for the ride back.  Ohh, decisions, decisions, decisions.

Anyway, tomorrow is our big day.  : )..  I can't wait!  I'm going to google a few more things about introducing puppies to aggressive dogs, this time specifically to a terrier.  I'm hoping that I can find something that will work.  I might take a pocket full of bacon with me.  Lol.  Why do you smell like.. bacon?  Hmm..  Why DO I smell like bacon?  Ha!  Alrighty, wish us luck!  We might reallllly need it!

QA Wheel of Jeopardy.. Lol.

Soo, after getting our sixth round of evaluations finished for this fiscal month, we get to have three full days of fun in our QA department.  Usually, that means catching up on computer modules or our process and procedure changes.  This time?  It's totally different.  I missed our weekly calibration meeting when I went to pick Emmy and Milo up from the groomers on Tuesday.  I came back yesterday to find a flurry of activity, a spinning wheel, a Jeopardy game tacked to our wall, and a bunch of food prizes.  I guess we were productive during my time off.

One person in our group suggested hosting a game where we could promote the QA department and have the floor reps answer questions about our quality assurance criteria for food prizes and the ultimate grand prize of a dress down day for the winning manager's team.  Normally our center is kind of lenient and lets us wear jeans and tshirt, but dress down days, our ops can wear sweatpants and hats and it doesn't happen often. Our manager and Center Director ran with it, and within one day, we have put together a whopping amount of questions and answers and are going to spend the next two days running the game.  Wow!  This is the first time QA has ever done anything like this since I have been at ADT.  I'm sure that the floor reps are going to love it.

It's kind of a mish mash of Wheel of Fortune since we have that super addicting spinning wheel (the last time they used it, I'm telling you, I needed a "spintervention"!  Lol!), and Jeopardy question amounts to spin for.  Each operator can only spin and answer a question one time.  If they get the answer right, they get a prize and their team gets their points.  If they answer wrong, they get a sucker instead and their team loses points.  Some of those questions are tough, so we will see who is on their game.  Lol.  It's definitely going to be a great way to spend the next couple days!

Speaking of games.  Ha!  You should check this one out.  It will mess with your mind unless you already know how it works or are able to find out.  It's called, "Regifting Robin".  It amazed us until, as I said, we finally found out how it did it.  : )..  Still pretty cool, and once I saw that it was math related, I started getting a little fuzzy on the details.
Anyway, click Here for the game.

If you are stumped and amazed and have been driven crazy trying to figure out how it works,
highlight the following information
starting right below this:
This is how it is done..
No matter what 2 numbers you choose, when you subtract the two
numbers, it will always end up being a multiple of the number 9.
Each time you play, the answers for the number 9 multiples
(9,18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72 and 81) will always have the same answer
in the square.  Each time you play, the numbers will show a different
"regift" so it appears that it is literally figuring out which one you are thinking of.
Until right before my "Until".  Ha, hidden words, cool.  Right?
Regifting Robin is pretty slick if you ask me!  : )..  Hope you had some fun with it!
Alrighty!  Off to have some fun of my own!  Woot!
(three more days until Fergus!)
