Welcome

Just a few rambling thoughts and crafts from a mind that is full of both. I am talented in my mind but regularly run full throttle into the wall of procrastination. I have raised procrastination to an art form. A friend once told me I have a BS in BS and a minor in excuse making. If there is anyway to get out of doing my best, I will do my best to get out of it. Welcome to my saburban life. : ).. Lol.

Whew.. Back for a bit..

Been draggin a bit from working at 4am.
Hopefully, that is all coming to an end soon,
and that I will be able to move into
a quasi-normal early as possible afternoon shift instead.
Fingers crossed.

Still haven't gotten the pool.
Dogs are still barking.
Cat is still meowing.
Work is still the same.

The weather is super nice outside right now,
there is a cool breeze blowing around.
The yard needs to be mowed again.
Milo got another basketball to play with at 2:30pm
and has already ripped the cover completely off.
Lol.  Life has moved along fairly fast
this last month.

Yesterday was a little crazy around town.
Oookay.. Its officially, "Has your cheese slid off your cracker?"
day on I-435. Right before the Front Street exit ramp, we have
Contestant #1 who is shirtless, sitting in a white plastic chair,
drinking out of a can, talking to himself. The next exit, right
after the on ramp from 24 Hwy, we have Contestant # 2, weighing
in close behind, also shirtless, driving a riding lawnmower along
the guardrail, and finally, last but not least.. We have Contestant # 3
off the next exit (aka Truman Road), a Werner semi truck driver who
is sitting still in the go straight ahead lane, waiting ever so patiently for
a left hand turn signal that will probably never trip because unless
someone honks or moves forward in the blocked left turn lane that
currently is being occupado by a broken down box truck, it aint never
gunna happen. There are at least five vehicles, patiently lined up with
their blinkers on, who are Contestants # 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. Who will
win the booby prize? Vote now! Lines are open. Will the real cheese
cracker please stand up? Please stand up?

Alrighty.  Time for some more breezes and outside time with the pups.
Until next time..   : )..

Smoke Alarms, Group Home Security Guards and Big Foot, Oh My!

Worked at my old group home this evening.
Smoke alarm from chicken cooking at 4pm.
All ok.  Called off the Fire Department.
Coworker called the hospitals security and got a newbie in training.
He swears it was a real fire.
Later, his boss Ron comes by to investigate and finds out all was ok .
Laughing he tells us the new guy Anthony isnt the sharpest out there.
Ron calls over to the hospital and here is the ensuing conversations:

Anthony: Security..
Ron: Is Ron there?
Anthony:  No hes gone.
Ron: We need him over here at Peery.
We are being attacked by Big Foot..
(My coworker and I are laughing by now)
Anthony to his trainer Angela: Ron needs to go to Peery,
They are being attacked by Big F..as he hangs up the line.
We are all laughing.
I told Ron he better watch out, Anthony will probably send the police.
Ron calls Angela: Angela..
Angela:  Ron!  Peery neeeds you!  They are being attacked!
We are crying now..
Our phone rings..
Valerie answers: Hello?
Anthony: Who called from thrre a minute ago?
Valerie hands the phone to Ron..
Ron: This is Ron.
Anthony: Hey!  Peery needs you over there!
Ron;: I'm already here..  OK, I will check around for Big Foot.
No problem.
He was finally able to tell Angela what was up,
Who got quite the laugh too.
Lol.  Fun times at the group home tonight.

What we have here.. Is a failure to communicate.. : )..

Have you ever had a time where you know that
you have missed an integral part of a conversation?  : )..

We have friends who are Filipino and some of their
conversations seem so randomly funny because every once
in a while, they throw in an English word or two.
"Corner of Masarap St. and Malutong.... heheheh... joke!
Sa bahay lang po nila. May waiting list
Wala ata tayo ng gulay and fish...
                                                               patay ang diet ko...Lol!!!!

Sometimes it's words like lawnmower and fish.
I think I'm missing out.  Lol.

It reminds me of the writing assignment I had
in my Creative Writing class back in high school.
We had to pick an ending sentence and write
a story around it.  I chose, "And that's why
there are no more chickens in the hen house."
It was a great story, I wish that I still had
a copy of it, but since it's been ..  a while ago, I don't.

My co-worker was telling me something yesterday.
She had made cupcakes and a six layer cake
for her daughter's birthday.
There was something about knobs that were
hard to turn, and then the next thing I knew?
She would have to vacuum the curtains again.

Huh?  I think I missed something.  Lol.
I think I am going to have to pay attention
more often.  : )..

Unh Uh!!

KC's Schlitterbahn has lost their minds..
This waterslide?  Is 17 stories high..
It has 264 steps to reach the top..
And until Guiness comes to measure,
won't release the actual height of their newest
thrill ride named, "Verrückt", which is German for "Insane".
 I agree..
Yikes!
It even has a hump that it will shoot you over..
Ahhhhhh!!!!
Me??  Go on that?!!

However..
Here is a actual point of view camera
shot of someone going down the
Insano, which currently holds the tallest
water slide record down in Brazil.
This video doesn't look too bad..
Right?
Still?
That climb?
That slide?
Umm.
Yeah.
No.
No thank you.
I'll stay closer to the ground.
Much, much, much closer to the ground.

The light at the end of the tunnel.. : )..

This is how I look getting ready for work in the mornings..
Way before the crack of dawn..

It's almost over..
: )..
I might get to change my schedule this Wednesday.
Instead of working 0500-1330,
I'll be working 1800-0230.
I was hoping for more of an afternoon shift,
but this is definitely a better schedule than that 0500 one.
Whew!  No more brain dead mornings
where I come thisclose to locking my keys in
the car while it's still running.  Lol.

Come on Wednesday!  Yay!!

Why I never swim in anything but a concrete pond.. Lol..

You're a little shark, just out to get a little bait dangling in front of ya..
When all of a sudden..  A bigger shark eats you and the bait whole..

Mind you, I love to swim, but nooo thank you..
I'll just stay in the boat..
