Winner, Winner, Chick..Err.. Reuban Fritter Dinner..

Last year on May 14th, someone stole my husband's

semi truck that we had bought and paid for in full, and had
just recently rebuilt the entire engine at considerable cost.  : (.. 
After a couple months of haggling with our

insurance company, we finally got our insurance money.
 I know that it was pretty depressing to have his entire business

stolen right out from under him.

 

Our solution?

We've been thinking that a restaurant might be a viable idea.

He's a terrific cook, his chicken is definitely finger-lickin

good, so good that you want to lick everyone else's fingers too.

 

Soo, after watching several episodes of Diners, Drive Ins and Dives,

and a whole host of other Food Network shows,

he's actually considering the whole cooking dealio.

I told him that no one could actually steal this business and haul

it off.  Ha.  Anyway, here's a deeelishus looking dish

that was on one of tonight's Triple D episodes.

 

It's a yummy sounding Reuben Fritter dish.

I love Reubens, but they are messssssy!

Reuben balls?  Right on!

Count me in!

I love Sweet Tators,

and I really love Sweet Tator fries..

Dutch asks, as he grabs another one of 

my precious sweet tator fries,

"Whaddya think?"

I'm thinkin you better stop eating my

sweet tator fries or that eastern diamond

rattlesnake bite from years ago won't be the

only reason that you lost part of a finger

in North Kansas City, MO.

I like Spam..

I don't sleep a lot at night after fighting

for a spot on the bed with three snarling,

darling little Cairn Terriers

who bark at any noise they hear and then

bark at each other for barking.

 

I don't have a lot of time after I wake up,

make something for breakfast,

get ready for work and get out the door..

I don't have time to cook bacon or sausage,

unless it's the yummy link sausage..

Sooo, what to do, what to do, what to do?

 

This morning, it was Spam's turn.

Cubed and sauteed with some onions..

Add my scrambled eggs..

 Toast some bread, add some strawberry

jelly, and toss it on a paper plate.

Glass of milk?  I was good to go.

Quick, easy and yummy!
