Welcome
Just a few rambling thoughts and crafts from a mind that is full of both. I am talented in my mind but regularly run full throttle into the wall of procrastination. I have raised procrastination to an art form. A friend once told me I have a BS in BS and a minor in excuse making. If there is anyway to get out of doing my best, I will do my best to get out of it. Welcome to my saburban life. : ).. Lol.

God Saw You Getting Tired
God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "come to me."
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "come to me."
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best
And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.

Craziness Continued..
Not sure the online auction was working out so well, so we have decided to reschedule it and change it to an actual in person auction or a raffle. We also tried a car wash today, but only ended up with one person stopping by. The group is going to try it again tomorrow. Now we just have to figure out a time, date and place for the rescheduled auction. It's a work in progress and definitely a learning experience.
Here's a little fun in the meantime..

Burned out.. Whew.
Between stress and mind-numbing repetition at work and home, I've been a tad bit (aka whole lot) burned out. I'm tired. I'm caaah-ranky. Irritable. Worn out. Tired. Pooped. Beat down. Mentally exhausted. Blah.
I muddle through part of the never ending laundry but loath finishing it. I have no problem putting it in the washer. Adding soap. Starting it up and... After that? Eh. That's where the fun ends. Yay. The saying where someone turns on the drier several times? Yup. That's me. Putting it away? Nevah! Lol. Only when I have to.
Dishes are easier. The dishwasher in our house is no longer me. I still load and unload more than my fair share. Cleaning? Bah. We have magic fairies who do that. Alright. So they don't do such a thorough job, but with three dogs, two cats and a husband, they are a little mad at me. They refuse to finish every job in the house. Who could blame them? I wouldn't wanna do it dell either. I think they need a pay raise. Apparently they don't think dust bunnies are an acceptable method of payment. Might hafta bump it up to some pocket lint and a few cheerios that rolled under the fridge.
Work schmurk. I'm considering sub-letting my QA job out. Lol. Think they will let me pay someone to do my job? No? Are ya sure? Positive? Yeah. You're probably right. Still. After two years in the department, I am severely burned out. It's just eval after eval after eval after... Yeah. It's just that exciting.
Stress schmess. Big changes are just around the corner at work. On June 29th, we will no longer be ADT employees. The decision was made to split ADT and it's parent company Tyco. We will become Tyco Integrated Security. We will help our Aurora, CO and Toronto, Canada centers monitor commercial, national, government and abused men and women accounts. We may all be required to become DOD (Dept of Defense) certified, which is a huge 100+ page, in-depth background check accounting for every aspect of the past ten years of our lives. Whew. That's crazy. I'm hoping I can skip it. Not so sure I can. Especially when it comes to the QA dept.
Soo. Yeah. Between work, home, puppies who font listen, cranky spouses who had their business / aka personal semi truck stolen, dealing with non-interested authorities and slow moving insurance claims, cleaning and cooking for a party, picking up debris from the aforementioned party, eval after eval after eval after eval, it's been a little stressful lately. Still. I know I have friends who have gone through worse circumstances than I have. We have a manager who was inexplicably, horribly and unnecessarily murdered over two years ago and his death has never been solved. We lost a material item. Our truck will eventually be replaced. My eval will eventually slow down with the customer / operator focus that is coming our way. They lost a family member. I will not complain about my life. We have a house to live in, vehicles to drive (even if they aren't Saab's), puppies who love us unconditionally and tons of friends who keep us sane and in touch with what is really important. My stress will pass. I am grateful to those who support those around them.
If I've talked to ya within the past few years, you are appreciated. No matter how stressed I get, I can still laugh and have fun. That's what is important. All I want is a life filled with laughter. And magic cleaning fairies.

Monday News.. : )..
Although I liked the Chiefs coach Todd Haley, something needed to be done to get this team back on track. The Chiefs fired him this morning. Can we fire Palko next? Geez. He's so colorblind that he keeps throwing the football to alternate colored jerseys. Lol. Really? Sheesh. He should save himself the trouble and just hand the football off to them instead... But... Anyway... 'Nuff football... : )...
Onto something better.. Woot..

Late nite early mornin..
Makes Jan a little later than she planned at work this mornin. Didn't make it in until after noon, had planned to be there by 10am. Lol. No worries. Had some inbound feedbacks to do on calls from the inbound class I did a quality assurance presentation for earlier this week. The six calls I pulled today were all great! Yay! I would say that it was my great rollout, but I am betting it was just a great class that wants to learn. Go class! Might have to make them some yummy Rachel Ray Fake Out Deep Fried Ice Cream treats for their graduation party. : ).. (that recipe by the way, is located HERE)
Emmy celebrated her Cairn Terrier heritage by diggin a hole this morning.
Workin hard..
Milo supervised. Always helpful. : )..
Came back home and threw together a quick dinner.
A little sliced Polish Sausage and one whole onion..
Sautee'd that until sausage was browned and the onions were carmelized..
Some boiled peas, drained with a smidge of butter, salt and faux sugar (sweetener)..
Tossed salad tossed together.. Sprinkled with salt, pepper and a little garlic salt..
Milo supervised.. : )..
And helped shred my lettuce.. Lol..
The best part of the day? DH finally figured out that one of our genius furnace technicians wired our computer module wrong, corrected it and voila. We have a fully functional furnace again. Geez. Those two goobers need to turn their tech id's in and learn the phrase, "Do you want fries with that?" We have a warm house again!! Yay!! We've made it through the past couple winters with a radiant and kerosene heater, but there's nothing like a warm house where we don't have to reset or fill either heater! : ).. Yay!! Boobs. : (.. We have heat!! Yay!! Boobs. Alrighty, I'm off to enjoy our warm basement! Yay!! Boobs. Idiots. Nincompoops. Whew. We have heat! Yay!

A few pics from the weekend..
Had a great weekend. Here are some pics I enjoyed during it. : )..
Polly has the right idea.
Judging from the chair, looks like somebody had too much fun sitting outside Amigoni Urban Winery. Lol.
Famous Seamus and the Travelbongs at Coda. : )..
Tyler Gregory introducing Paul Coleman who moved out of the pic, and then AJ from the Fall Down Drunks on the other side, sporting his paint bucket bass guitar. They look pretty rough, but lemme tell ya, they all sound great! : )..
AJ actually played this one string electric Elvis Presley Chocolate tin guitar during his set. It really sounded great!
All in all, it was a pretty great weekend. Now for two full days off to recover. Awesome!

A little bitta cuteness..
Had a good day full of shrimp, margaritas, mexican food, walking around the Country Club Plaza's Art Fair and then hitting the casino to make a boat payment. Lol. Still walked out with money in my pocket, so that's a good thing. : ).. Here are some cute pics to peruse.
