Welcome

Just a few rambling thoughts and crafts from a mind that is full of both. I am talented in my mind but regularly run full throttle into the wall of procrastination. I have raised procrastination to an art form. A friend once told me I have a BS in BS and a minor in excuse making. If there is anyway to get out of doing my best, I will do my best to get out of it. Welcome to my saburban life. : ).. Lol.

The Memento..

I am sooo not the scrapbooking type and may try and find someone to help me out on this, but here is what my memento looks like right now...  Kinda plain for my liking...  Not bad though...  Simple, yet, ohhh soo special...
See the heart at the top?  We sat by the open door at the reception and I looked down to find this heart shaped leaf, waiting oh so patiently for me to find it lying beside my foot.  One more to add to my ever growing list.  I'm tellin ya!  I find hearts ALL the time.  I love how and where I found this one and that I can pass it along to Sarah.  I know that she is going to love it just as much as I do.  It's going to such a great new home.  : )..

The picture?  Not the best it could be, it was taken in low light on my husband's iphone.  The story behind that picture?  Awesome.  The DJ asked the crowd to come to the dancefloor near the end of the night.  He told us to circle around the newly betrothed couple as they stood on the dancefloor, nervously wondering what he had in store for them.  We all laughed and guessed that he was going to play the Chicken Dance.  We were sooo wrong.

Instead, he said that in rough times they could look back on this moment at their reception and know that they had the support of all their friends and family to get them through whatever they may face in life together.  He then played, "Lean On Me".  What a great moment, what a great way to celebrate their special night.  One of the nicest touches I have ever seen at a wedding or reception.  I caught this picture as Sarah and Jeff danced to the song.  She is going to love this too.

One picture frame: $5
One iphone: $99
Gas per gallon to get to the reception: $3.20
Getting this picture?  Priceless.

  5. What a sweet keepsake! I was just married in May on Oahu. I was walking on the beach the day before my wedding and the clouds in the approaching sunset had a heart-shaped opening in them. I ran to get my camera and captured it before the clouds drifted off. You have inspired me to create something special using the photo. Thanks and happy heart hunting!
