Belvoir Therapy.. : )..

Soo, I know how to deal with noise without Celexa.  Lol.  It's two bottles of Sorelle Dolci wine from Belvoir Winery in Liberty, MO.  That's the winner, winner, chicken dinner, winery tasting and pairing party winner that we chose last year.  Deelicious wine.  Rumored to be haunted, steeped in history, this winery was converted from what used to be an orphanage that housed young boys as well as indigent adults and the elderly way back in the early 1900's.  They host paranormal parties from time to time and have several buildings on their campus that look like a good ghostly hang out.  I'm tellin you, it's one of my favorite place to hang out, and I'm not a ghost.  Lol.  Sorelle Dolci.  Yummy.  : )..  Celexa Schamexa.

Men, Music and Moonshine..

Soo, whew, been straightening the yard after the party, found a metal slide from one of the band members that must have rolled off our makeshift stage and a blue guitar pick.  All in all, it was a pretty easy cleanup this time.  I should have had one big trashcan for bottles and cans, but it really worked out well because I did grab a few of things to use for some craft items.  : )..  Ha!

We had a fairly good turnout, and once again, everyone was gone fairly early.  Our parties in the past have lingered on until close to 2am, but this one was over by 11:30pm.  We still have a pan full of uncooked kabobs, which will be our dinner tonight.  The beef and pork really turned out well, while the chicken's teriyake sauce had kind of a sticky, strange taste.  They were still good, but definitely different.  Lol.

 Thursday is Dutch's birthday, and he had told one

of my friends that he would love a cake with 55 candles

on it.  Lol.  I would have gotten a picture with them all burning,

but we didnt want to burn the house down.

 I was cake shopping when Dutch called and said some of our

friends were going to bring him a bday cake.  Great timing!  Lol.

I had started my afternoon running a few errands, and that was my

last stop.  I was trying to pick one out right when he called.

 The only thing that I don't like about my iphone, it takes

horrible night pictures when I use the flash.

I wish Lonnie's brother AJ had been

able to be there, AJ has this crazy bass guitar, which is a picture from

another one of their previous shows.  It may look rough, but it has such

when it was all together.

Famous Seamus and my co-worker's daughter, Grace's

chalk art on our deck.  I'm thinking they had fun, lol,

they played really well together.  Seamus is two days

younger than our oldest pup, Emmy, but he is smart as a whip!

He's two years and seven months old and already talking in

complete sentences which are clearly understood, and he knows

his colors and can count to 12 already.  He came in and walked up to

Grace and told her, "Hold my hand!"  Lol.  One of our friends

said he already likes older women.  : )..

All in all, it was another great party.  Whew.  Glad it's over though.

Whew. Another successful partay..

Dang.  Whew.  Done.  Really done.  Well.  Kinda done.  Still have one guest who I'm giving a ride home to, so technically, I guess that means the party is still going.  The band packed up and left, although there was a technical party foul called by Dutch, the band was missing their banjo picker because he had another previously scheduled event going on.  Soo, technically, the band said that they still owed Dutch an actual show.  Lol.  Well, it probably won't matter once the liquor wears off.  : )..  The band travels, not only with their name, Famous Seamus and the Travelbongs, but some Apple Pie Moonshine.  Soo, you can tell, the party foul came with some discrepency that is apparently stilllll being discussed.  (eyeroll)

I'll post pics later.  Finally time to take the last partier home.  Whew.

Truck shows, Open Bars and Magicians.. Oh My!

Soo, last night, one of our friends employer had an open house to promote how well they build trucks and add items to them such as pumps, and something, something, something....  Sorry Wayne, I got a little fuzzy there.  Lol.  I know you weld very well, but I couldn't tell ya what all you told me about what all you did to your truck.  Please forgive me, you could tell me again and I would still be fuzzy.  It looked great though!  : )..  Ha!

The event was catered by a deli in town called Cuppertini's.  They had some delicious open buffet food set up with all kinds of deli meats and cheeses and crackers and fruit and an open bar to boot.

Soo, back to the magician.  He was pretty funny and pretty good.  : )..  He had a few tricks that I am sure I know how he did them, but that's ok, he was still great at doing them.  And he was amusing, so I got to kill a lot of time while people milled around large trucks, drinking and getting snockered.  I had one little chardonnay spritzer and then a couple straight Sprites.  Woot.  Our magician ended up encountering my dh and barely escaped unscathed.  Lol.  He made the mistake of asking him to write a name down on a card, either a person's first name or a pet's name while he walked away and stood with his back to us.  Here is what he came up with.  By the way, I'm done with callin my dh my dh.  His nickname is Dutch so, ha, those who worry that I put too much information on my fb or blog be warned, don't worry, it's not his actual first name so I'm going to drop the "dh" (which always made me roll my eyes anyway) and just use "Dutch" from now on.

Todd, the "Magician Dude" was pretty close.

I told him, Dutch's C looked more like an "L" and

probably threw him off.  : )..

All in all, it was an interesting way to spend the evening.

I'm revisiting the Ladoga Ridge Winery with a few friends this

afternoon, hopefully it will be a very nice day, heard it's supposed

to be around 70 degrees and I'm thinking that means "Picnic" with

my friend Jeanie and her bottomless picnic basket?  Woot.

I'm in for some more delicious ChocoCherry Kiss wine.  For sure!

11 Fun Facts About Me..

    My friend and I were the youngest girl's softball coaches in our hometown, starting at 16 years old.  We had a winning season that year.

1. I love sweet pickles with cream cheese or peanut butter.
2. My favorite summer activity has to be swimming.  : )..  I used to spend summers in a pool.
3. I grew up as a tomboy and think that I still am in a lot of ways. 
4. My parents made us a deal when I played softball, they would buy a pizza for every home run my brother and I hit.  I kept us in pizzas until February one year.
5. I was in Concert Choir as a sophomore and Junior, but you will never hear me singing by myself. I sound ok when singing with the radio.
6. My favorite veggie is corn.
7. I am addicted to pizza.  I think it's because of my softball prize.  Lol.
8. I used to have a dark tan when I was younger, but rarely ever have anything more than a farmer tan now. 
9. I can snap my fingers to the “Lone Ranger” theme song.
10. I have naturally greenish-yellow eyes and people always ask me if they are my real eyes.  Umm.  Yeah.  : )..  Lol.

What are you passionate of the most?  The welfare of animals.  They can't defend themselves as well as we can.  We have some despicable people in this world and in this city who haven't done right by dogs and cats and if I should ever find them, they will beg for mercy.  I would strap them to a chair and make them watch, "Where the Red Fern Grows", "Old Yeller" and "Marley & Me" until they are beside themselves.  I might even toss in a couple Sarah McLaughlin commercials for good measure.
