Welcome

Just a few rambling thoughts and crafts from a mind that is full of both. I am talented in my mind but regularly run full throttle into the wall of procrastination. I have raised procrastination to an art form. A friend once told me I have a BS in BS and a minor in excuse making. If there is anyway to get out of doing my best, I will do my best to get out of it. Welcome to my saburban life. : ).. Lol.

Our friends "Famous Seamus and the Travelbongs" radio debut..

Our friends, David Haynie, Wayne Carpenter and Brian Garvin jammed live on the radio tonight for the first time.  Awesome job guys!  : )..  They started playing informally with Wayne's dad and a family friend, but gelled together as a band after playing many a party here at our house.

I posted a video of them in our living room playing their cover of, "Glendale Train" which chronicles the time that the Jesse James Gang robbed a train in Kansas City, MO.  Famous Seamus' first paying gig came after a Joplin Tornado Relief promoter saw that video posted on YouTube.  They have been getting an ever increasing amount of attention all over town since then.  I'm sooo glad that I could have such a great part in getting them noticed!  : )..

This is an original song that was spawned by the Glendale Train robbery.  Jesse and his gang needed a place to rest and lay low that night and happened to come upon a poor, elderly widow's farm.  It was the evening before the banker was coming to foreclose on her property.  The gang GAVE her the money to pay the banker.  After she paid the banker in full, he gave her the deed to her property and left.  Guess what happened next?  Lol.  Jesse and his gang robbed the banker on his way back to the bank and re-claimed their money!  Ha!  : )..
Her grandson who inherited her bible actually brought it into David Haynie's family owned and run book bindery to have it worked on.  He verified this story and that every bit of it was true to the word.  David and the guys wrote this original tune about it.  : )..  How awesome is that?  Totally awesome, IMO.  Here's some face and ear meltin bluegrass music!  Great job guys!!!!  We're proud of ya'll!!!!
