Welcome

Just a few rambling thoughts and crafts from a mind that is full of both. I am talented in my mind but regularly run full throttle into the wall of procrastination. I have raised procrastination to an art form. A friend once told me I have a BS in BS and a minor in excuse making. If there is anyway to get out of doing my best, I will do my best to get out of it. Welcome to my saburban life. : ).. Lol.

Puppies, Treats and Come back inside! Oh my!

It's getting harder and harder at times to get our puppies to come back inside.  It doesn't matter if it's hot, warm or cold outside.  They love to play.  They love to bark.  They love to scan the neighborhood from the safety of our fence, keeping us free of outside cats, squirrels and whatever else might be lurking out there.  You know.  Balls.  Big, soft rubber balls.  The kind that you can buy in the grocery or department store.  Those things are dangerous!  Ask Milo!  He will tell you all about them!

There were some kids visiting a house catacorner from us that has a huge empty lot / yard directly behind us.  The kids had, and I do mean had, lol, a big pink, white and blue rubber ball.  Milo just about lost his little puppy mind.  They left the ball in that yard, but it kept blowing back down to our fence.  We would move it and it would come back, taunting poor little Milo.  He barked and barked and barked and barked some more.  I finally got a couple sticks, grabbed it and brought it into our yard.  Milo just about had a herd of cows.  Lol.  Emmy jumped on it, growled and bit it.  Pop..  Pfffffffeeeewwwww.  She saved you Milo!  Thankfully, there were no kids there to witness the brutal demise of their ball.  Ha!

Our friend, Emmy and Milo's favorite person in the whole wide world, "Uncle Steve" came over last summer and built us a shed.  Emmy and Milo love chasing each other around it, taking turns as to who is chasing who.  They will run and run and run.  Sit down, roll around, jump back up and run some more.

When it comes to getting them back inside, sometimes calling
them in for a treat works.  They love Pupperoni.
 They love puppy cookies.
 They love puppy bacon.
However, there are times that offering any
of those items still won't lure them back
inside.  They will stop what they are doing
and look at me like this..
"Come for Pupperoni!"
 "Come for cookies!"
 "Come for bacon!"
Aha!  I finally found the magical sound
that brings them in every single time..
It comes from this magical machine....
Ding!
Lo and behold..  "Puppy Whisperer"..
(not our actual microwave, I'll spare
you the pictures of that for now.  Lol.)
Alrighty..  Time to bring the puppies back in..

Right now, Max comes running from anywhere for a Greenie. If that ever waers off again, I'll shake my car keys and open the garage door. He'll do anything for a car ride! :)

    1. Hmm, I might try Greenies then. I don't think we've had those yet. Emmy and Milo both love a car ride, but it's usually when we are getting ready to leave that they won't come in. It's usually when I'm ready to go to work or bed that I can't get them to come back in. Lol. : ).
