Welcome

Just a few rambling thoughts and crafts from a mind that is full of both. I am talented in my mind but regularly run full throttle into the wall of procrastination. I have raised procrastination to an art form. A friend once told me I have a BS in BS and a minor in excuse making. If there is anyway to get out of doing my best, I will do my best to get out of it. Welcome to my saburban life. : ).. Lol.

Coastin Along..

Soo, right now, my craft budget isn't looking very good.  I postponed one of my ideas until it gets better.  However, as I was moseying around JoAnn's, I had a small epiphany and an idea that would work very well with things I already had at home.  All I needed was some paper.  : )..  I could afford that!  Almost got some at JoAnn's, but glad that I held off until I got to Hobby Lobby. They had single sheet paper for 50% off that day, and I spent a whopping 32 cents.  Now that's my kind of shopping trip.  Lol.

Soo, without further ado, here is my project for DebbieDoo's Newbie Party this week.  I already had the tiles.  I already had some modge podge.  I already had found my inspiration on Pinterest, and lemme tell ya, this was the perfect craft at the perfect time!

Soo, once again, I'm a fan of darker colors.

I grabbed my marble tiles.
I bought these at Lowe's for a reasonable price last year.
One crafter said they went through boxes
until they found good tiles, I'm thinking
that someone did that with my box too.
Lol.  It hasn't been a problem for the crafts
I've made with them.
I cut my cool 32 cent Hobby Lobby paper while
waiting for the Kentucky Derby to start..  : )..
(Congrats to I'll Have Another!)

I modge podged the tiles, slapped my paper on
and added another layer of modge podge over the
top. I let them dry and voila!
A set of four cool lookin coasters.
: )..
(Betcha thought I was going to use burlap again.)
(Maybe later.)
(Lol.)

Joining DebbieDoo's Newbie Party again this week.
Love her ideas and all of the talented Newbies
that join each week.  Great site!  Great stuff!

I am also joining up with It's Overflowing With Creativity
for the Sunday party there as well.  : )..

    1. Thanks Linda! Lol. Cheap and simple are my kinds of projects too. Same for cooking, although since I'm eating healthy foods, they aren't cheap or simple. Lol. And as for my horse, ohh, that would have been suhweet! Alas. I didn't bet or pick a winner. : ).. I wish I had! Sounds like he had pretty good payouts. I think he was 43:1? Cha-Ching. My poor craft budget hasn't budged. Maybe when we get overtime back at work, if we ever do.... It'll happen.
