Welcome
Just a few rambling thoughts and crafts from a mind that is full of both. I am talented in my mind but regularly run full throttle into the wall of procrastination. I have raised procrastination to an art form. A friend once told me I have a BS in BS and a minor in excuse making. If there is anyway to get out of doing my best, I will do my best to get out of it. Welcome to my saburban life. : ).. Lol.

A few rambling thoughts before blissful sleep...
Hopefully all is well in Oklahoma after they had yet another earthquake tonight. They had two on Saturday and we actually felt the shock from it here in Kansas City, MO. Wow! I thought it was a loud train Saturday, but this time we were down in our basement watching tv and it sounded like a house had exploded tonight! It was thunderous here under ground, I can't imagine how OK felt again.
My iPhone has more personalaties than even I claim. Lol. My facebook app keeps crashing but I'm suspicious that Mark Zuckerburg is messing with me because he is mad that I won't turn my gps back on so he can have me check in everywhere I am at when I open the app. I kept having to decline the message, "Allow Facebook to use your current location" four or five times before it would stop. I turned off the gps and now he keeps telling me to go to my phone settings and enable my gps four or five times after I open the app. If I decline, it may open or it might crash. It might get just sooooo close to opening before it crashes, just enough to tease me so I'm aggravated. I think he wants to take over the world. Lol. Ha! My multi personality phone throws him for a loop! It shows I log in from Chicago, Illinois a lot but lately it's been checking in from California. Lol. My phone moves often. It's crafty like that. It's also finally decided to let me add comments on my posts again after denying them for sooo long.
The Mizzou Tigers (Go MU! Woot!) are going to the SEC conference. Goodbye rock chalk trash talk! Yeah!! My favorite game? Couple years ago during a nailbiter MU sacks the Jayhawk Quarterback in their end zone for a safety, scoring us two points and winning us the game, but the best part? Their QB got up with a HUGE clump of grass stuck in his helmet. Awesomeness at it's finest!!!
K. That's most of the thoughts ramblin in my head, begging to get out before I called it a night. Hope all is well and quiet and everyone has a great night. We get to go on an outing at work tomorrow and we are going to have cupcakes and punch! Can't wait! Woot! Goin to Cracker Barrel for breakfast! Yeah!!

Debbie Doo's Newbie Party
After taking a small break from the party, I'm once again linking up. My recent crafts haven't turned out so well, and my spouse has been a little resistant to more crockpot cooking (although, lol, he hasn't complained that I haven't cooked lately, so that's a good thing.. Right? : ).. Ha!), so my cooking has been on the cold, cold, cold backburner for now. I'm linking up with my memento post this time. I am going to love giving Sarah and Jeff my last present. We also gave them a gift certificate to "The Hat" aka El Sombrero, one of their favorite local Mexican restaurants. They loved that and have no clue that I have something else for them. Woot, woot! Can't wait! I think another trip to The Hat might be in order.... Yummy!
The Memento..
I am sooo not the scrapbooking type and may try and find someone to help me out on this, but here is what my memento looks like right now... Kinda plain for my liking... Not bad though... Simple, yet, ohhh soo special...
See the heart at the top? We sat by the open door at the reception and I looked down to find this heart shaped leaf, waiting oh so patiently for me to find it lying beside my foot. One more to add to my ever growing list. I'm tellin ya! I find hearts ALL the time. I love how and where I found this one and that I can pass it along to Sarah. I know that she is going to love it just as much as I do. It's going to such a great new home. : )..
The picture? Not the best it could be, it was taken in low light on my husband's iphone. The story behind that picture? Awesome. The DJ asked the crowd to come to the dancefloor near the end of the night. He told us to circle around the newly betrothed couple as they stood on the dancefloor, nervously wondering what he had in store for them. We all laughed and guessed that he was going to play the Chicken Dance. We were sooo wrong.
Instead, he said that in rough times they could look back on this moment at their reception and know that they had the support of all their friends and family to get them through whatever they may face in life together. He then played, "Lean On Me". What a great moment, what a great way to celebrate their special night. One of the nicest touches I have ever seen at a wedding or reception. I caught this picture as Sarah and Jeff danced to the song. She is going to love this too.
One picture frame: $5
One iphone: $99
Gas per gallon to get to the reception: $3.20
Getting this picture? Priceless.

Finally.. Saturday.. : )..
I will be posting another little project here shortly. It is a little memento from a wedding we attended last week. I'm hoping that it turns out as well as I think it should. : ).. Lol. I'm not a scrapbooker, but I'm going to kinda give it a shot. Here are some funny pics to tide us over until then....

Whew! Friday! How I've missed ya!
Sooo, sometime next week, there will be an announcement at work and one co-worker will go to another department, I will go to the dayshift and then two other co-workers will be getting promoted to a different department too. : ).. Yay. No more workin until 11pm for me. Whew. I like going to work in the afternoon, but I really don't like leaving work that late. Also, I found out yesterday, five other co-workers are getting to go on this year's "Club Excellence" all expenses paid vacation here..
Did I mention, all expenses paid? How about all inclusive? Lol, how about I toss in the trifecta? They go there in J-A-N-U-A-R-Y. Sigh. : ).. Lucky them! Brrr for us. Ahhh for them. Congrats John B, Michael L., Michael G., Shellie J and Juanita B. Awesome. : )..
One of my other co-workers said, "Yeah, but you have to use your own vacation time, would you really want to use your vacation for that?" Umm.. Yeah?!! Duh!! Lol. Seriously! I would!

Yay, Milo got his "boot" bandage off today.. : )..
Been workin some early hours this week, might end up moving to the day shift at work soon as well. Right now I'm on the evening shift so I am still having trouble getting to sleep at night so I'm soooo tired during the day. If it wasn't for caffeine, I don't know what I would do. Milo got his bandage off and seems to be doing great after his latest toenail issue. Hopefully with his shortened 8 nails that are left, we won't have this trouble again. I feel sooo sorry for him. But, he's doing great today! Here's some funny stuff to end the night....
