Welcome

Just a few rambling thoughts and crafts from a mind that is full of both. I am talented in my mind but regularly run full throttle into the wall of procrastination. I have raised procrastination to an art form. A friend once told me I have a BS in BS and a minor in excuse making. If there is anyway to get out of doing my best, I will do my best to get out of it. Welcome to my saburban life. : ).. Lol.

Yay for me.

Hmm.  Soo.  A few months ago we were in the hunt for a used vehicle.  We had a pretty good amount of money to work with, so we were lookin online and at some of the car lots.  I ran across this sweet little honey that was well within our purchase price, with money left over for whatever..
It was a 1998 Saab 900 Convertible and it was suhweet.  I wanted it.
I would have loved to have gotten it.  : (..
But, we have two of these and it had two doors and leather seats.  Not good for two of those.
Soo.  This is what we got instead.  The McJackwagon.  Yay.  Yay for me.  Passes everything but a gas station.  Here it is in it's natural habitat.  Look at the mighty majestic way it rips the hose off the pump and gulps and gulps and gulps the gas.  Yay.  Yay for me.

The big "selling" points for us getting the McJackwagon instead of the suhweet Saab?  Ooooh.  Saab's require maintenance and have expensive parts and you have to buy special equipment and books to work on them or pay out of the nose to have a qualified Saab specialist to work on it.  Plus, my other half had no earthly idea how to even begin to understand the alien technology that Saab's possess.  Soo.  Subaru's are soo much easier to work on.  Mmm..  K..  Mind you, this is the same person who has spent over $21,000 to build this and rebuild a new engine for it last year...

But.  Saab's are alien technology.  Soo.  The McJackwagon picked up a front end wobble.  Lower Ball Joint.  Had to buy a manual to learn how to change said lower ball joint.  Ohh.  Fixed it.  Had to buy a special part.  Nice.  And, yay for me, I had to help.  Yay.  Yay for me.
Yay.  Sooo worth it.

  1. I love your puppy! S/he looks similar to my dog Jack, who is a little black terrier mutt mix of some kind.

I've always been an old Volvo chick myself, once they get fixed they usually stay that way for quite a while and run and run and run until the odometer displays crazy numbers. They take a lot of abuse, which is good with me as a car caretaker. I love the 240 series, but currently drive a 740 which hasn't given me any major problems for about 4 years. Whew.

I tried 2 Subarus in between Volvos, and the both went kerplunk and I vowed never to stay from Volvos again. Two of my other Volvo fan friends went the same route. We all agreed that there's nothing like an old Volvo.

  2. Thanks! : ).. It's a he, that's Milo. He has his own blog over on the Life According to Milo site. Lol. His family gets online but not on facebook so we set him up with his own blog. And he's definitely a cutie! I can imagine just how cute your Jack must be too!

Volvo's are really nice too. We looked at a couple but by the time we contacted the sellers, they had already been sold. I'm guessing that really means that they are nice! Lol. I will most definitely keep them in mind should we need another vehicle.. Sometime.. : ).
