I love lasagna, but hate to boil the noodles..
I hate waiting that long to put it all together and toss
it in the oven. Imagine my delight when I
got a recipe several, several, several
years ago that eliminated that step.
: ).. Yay!
It's all how you layer the ingredients.
And - no - you don't have to buy the special no-bake
noodles for this to work.
Put down a layer of spaghetti sauce on the bottom of the pan.
Add a layer of regular lasagna noodles.
Put a layer of browned and drained hamburger,
then top that with either ricotta or cottage cheese,
I use cottage cheese myself.
Add a layer of shredded cheese, doesn't matter
what type, I used Colby-Jack that time because that's
what we had, but I've used lots of different kinds.
Add another layer of spaghetti sauce.
Top with another layer of regular lasagna noodles.
Add one more layer of spaghetti sauce
and finally, another layer of the cheese.
This time, I also add some mozzerella to the mix.
Sprinkle some Italian Seasoning, Thyme,
Garlic Powder, Onion Powder and voila!
It's ready for the pre-heated oven.
I usually set it on 375 degrees,
and bake my lasagna for 45 minutes.
Toss together a delicious salad
and warm up some oven toasted garlic
bread towards the end of the lasagna cooking
and it's ready to go.
Let it set up for a few minutes after the oven
and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
I even had to pop open another one of my
Smirnoff Ice's for this meal.
Yummy!
Someone told me it looked like molten lava.
Yeah. Delicious molten lava.
I don't recommend trying actual molten lava.
I doubt that it would be quite so tasty.
: )..
Nummy, nummy, nummy!
OH that looks good, easy . . . and it does resemble molten lava!
