Welcome
Just a few rambling thoughts and crafts from a mind that is full of both. I am talented in my mind but regularly run full throttle into the wall of procrastination. I have raised procrastination to an art form. A friend once told me I have a BS in BS and a minor in excuse making. If there is anyway to get out of doing my best, I will do my best to get out of it. Welcome to my saburban life. : ).. Lol.

What's For Lunch Today?
I kept running aross this handy, dandy little appliance
the past few days, thinking that I needed to use it again.
It was a freebie that we won at one of Creel Trucking's
Christmas parties when Dutch worked for them. : )..
So I grabbed some cheese and ham..
Sauteed half an onion and added my chopped ham..
Grabbed my tortillas..
Tossed some mixed onions, ham and cheese on one..
Covered with another tortilla,
closed the lid and voila,
a short time later?
One yummy, delish,
super, duper, easy peasy quesadilla
just waiting for my lunch time. : )..
I cut it with a pizza cutter and was done!
Ahh. Easy, peasy lunches.
Can't beat 'em!

Winery Harvesting.. : )..
I'm planning to help a couple of our local wineries with their first grape harvests this weekend. Ladoga Ridge Winery in Smithville is having their harvest starting at 8am Saturday.
I plan to join them..
And then, Sunday, Fence Stile is having
their first harvest, also starting at 8am.
Again, I plan to join them. : )..
Soo, I'm thinking, my weekend is starting
to look pretty good!
Not for long! Lol.

Tuesday Fun..
First day back to work in ohhh, five full days. : ).. Ahh. I would say it was nice and peaceful, but it was still full of a cat meowing, and dogs barking, train horns, noisy cars and motorcycles and a few other various loud sounds. I've almost given up. However, I did have a nice little mini vacay and a break from some of the stress. Woot. Soo, back to it today. Yay.
That being said, here are some pics to brighten the day and get it started right.
: ).. I love the Keep Children Close part. Lol!

Oooh yeah.. : )..
I am not much of a sweet tooth, I've always favored salty foods instead. However, whoa, this cake looks deeelish. I think I might just have to develop one after all. : )..
It's a Toasted Butter Pecan Cake..
Yummy, I think I know what's for dessert soon!

Ahh, it's time for Me time.. : )..
The puppies are all outside, along with the noisy cat. Dutch went for a hot rod ride before going to get some much needed, new glasses. I fixed myself an egg sandwich for breakfast, and some of this.
Mmm, hmm..
It's my Smirnoff Mimosa..
Deeelishus! : )..
Deeelightful..
Ahhh..
So peaceful.

Ballard Design Copycat.. : )..
Alrighty, so right down to the wire, I finally found everything that I needed for my Copycat Challenge. After perusing the Ballard Design website, imagine my surprise when I ran across this normal looking bulletin board. : )..
Cute, yes. Different than normal? Eh, not really.
And check out the price. No. Really.
It WAS $329.00, but is now listed
at a mere $249.00.
That's the price. Whew!
Really?
For a corkboard?
Alrighty then. : )..
Soo, after gathering all the supplies that I actually had
just laying around the house, I made this.
I have had this picture frame sitting around the house forever.
Seriously. Forever. Alright, at least close to ten years.
The picture frame had a Kohl's sticker on the back for $39,
but we got it for free as a left over from one of our friend's
garage sales. Actually, we have two of them. : )..
I grabbed my handy dandy black paint and a WalMart
spongy brush that were already here at the house and
commenced to creating this.
Total cost? Nada. Nuttin. Bumpkis.
Just my time and energy. Whew! Lol.
Which means, I saved a whopping $249.00.
Hehehe. That even beats my Longaberger
(sorry Dian!) knockoff from last time. : )..
I'm joining in on Debbie Doo's great CopyCat Challenge.
She's such a great host! Great website!
Great ideas! Great participants!

Ohh yeah! Ohh Please?!
I began pondering my current situation yesterday. It finally occured to me (Lightbulb!), to look and see if a former employer that functions closer to home, might have a position listed for customer service. Ohh, why I believe they might just have one, it was certainly listed on their website. Did I apply? Oooh, you bet I did! With a quickness!
I worked through Pro Staff on an autoject project that this company had several years ago. They not only extended our time there, they were teaching ME their other work functions, such as entering new clients and setting up their introductory packages. However, Dutch was hauling over the road at that time, and so when the temporary project was closing, I chose to spend some time riding with him after it was finished.
I did apply with them shortly after that, and actually interviewed with my two immediate supervisors that I worked closely with on the temporary assignment. My first supervisor's interview went well, while the second one tanked. She asked why I wanted to work for them again, and my brain froze up. Huh? Wha? Durr. All I could mutter was, I need a permanant job again to establish a long lasting employment. What a blubbering idiot I was. Now? I know that I should have answered, "Because I know the job. I know the clients. I know what the work entails and I am more than willing to learn whatever new job duties that will be needed." Yeah. I think that would have been a better answer. Jan was a boob back then. Jan knows that now. Jan knows better now. If Jan should happen to get another chance, Jan says she will be MUCH better in the interview.
Whew. I'm still looking at a couple other places as well around town. It should be interesting. : )..
